WOPART | WORKS ON PAPER FAIR is proud to announce the “Extra Time” Exhibition

After the resounding success of its ‘online’ edition in 2020, WopArt – the world’s premier fair dedicated to works of art on paper – returns with an exhibition titled “Extra Time” (ahead of its 6th Edition next September 2022) in an “in-person” format that welcomes collectors and art lovers.
Two pavilions of the Exhibition Center in Lugano will host major exhibitions with special spaces dedicated to meetings and debates on the themes of art, the art market and the dissemination of culture, in collaboration with Art Foundations and participating Galleries.
Robert Phillips, the new artistic director of WopArt, has chosen “FLUIDITY” as the theme of the “Extra Time” Exhibition, which includes a show of “Watercolours by Hermann Hesse” and works from the BNP Paribas Collection.
From 19 to 21 November 2021, the Exhibition Centre in Lugano (Switzerland) will host two major exhibitions of previously unpublished works on paper, together with an overview of works presented by Foundations and participating Galleries, who were mandated to present only fresh and unpublished works by contemporary, modern and established artists.
This “Extra Time” Exhibition, conceived by WopArt, provides a rare opportunity to meet and enjoy works never seen before on the market. The goal is to create a cultural framework that will attract an exclusive audience of enthusiasts and collectors invited to enjoy a path of reflection and relaxation not just at the fair but also at other interesting exhibitions organized in Lugano.

The space will include a “Relax” area created by Colombo Experience, a “Talk” area for meetings and debates, and a spacious Art & Food refreshment service area to ensure social distancing for the safety for visitors. The Talk area will feature meetings with artists, conferences and in-depth analyses of the transformations taking place in the art market in the wake of the pandemic.

Next year, the 6th edition of the fair will return to its original dates in September 2022.
